What I Eat In A Day
Y'all asked so I'm delivering today's topic is about my diet which will come up, I was going to do this one later down the road but now's as good a time as any. I would like to start off by saying in no means am I telling you to lose weight or "eat right" this is what i do to help myself stay in shape. I have hypothyroidism and I can't just eat everything anymore I have to consume it with caution because too much salt will have me in the hospital and too much sugar will also have me in the hospital, basically i made multiple hospital visits before I actually got the memo. But thank you for taking the time to listen to me ranting and raving about the state of the world so let's find some less heavy topics for now.
In the morning I eat breakfast because one the most important meals of the day, two because even though I'm in a shelter breakfast isn't always bad. If I had a choice it would be egg whites and one piece of avocado toast with salt and pepper and cayenne, with a glass of green tea I'm a green tea fiend so you'll hear me referencing green tea a lot. Then I would either go to the gym or find a huge flight of stairs and walk to them and walk up and done then for about 2 hours with a snack of beef jerky, cheese and low calorie chips for right after, no I'm not kidding working out and eating right after is a must I won't make it home on an empty stomach also don't forget get to wash it down with green tea. A smoothie is fine I love them but they aren't meals so please remember to add proteins and a side.
Lunch is not really my favorite I struggle with finding a healthy medium on occasion especially after the stairs, so depending on my hunger I will make a grilled cheese sandwich with some type of tomato basil or garlic sauce and low calorie cheese. Like I said, sometimes I'll make it light like cottage cheese with salt and pepper with a side of fruit and green tea. I will be having a snack later hungry or not snacking is my favorite and my metabolism is so fast i will most likely be hungry later, The snack is fruit with a side of pretzels or peanut butter I want to go on record as saying I don't like peanut butter alone by itself but with apple slices or a banana yes or even a PB&j but not alone.
No green tea at dinner sorry I've had enough for the day and I really only drink about 4-6 cups a day it's more for my gut health. But recently I have been trying to lower my cortisol levels so I've been looking around for food/recipes to do that with like: kale spinach or collard greens my ultimate is beets like a beet and quinoa salad is so good. Maybe something with summer squash too, anyway soups are originally my favorite but I have to occasionally digest full foods so a roasted summer squash nesting on top of a kale bed with beets and mushroom risotto. I also like steak and potatoes not going to lie A good ole piece of meat with some starch is good especially since I don't get much red meat in a day. Another option for dinner is Chickpea or Lentil-Based Pasta With Roasted Broccoli & Walnut Pesto with a glass of water to drink. My dinner needs to be more versatile I like watching my diet all day but I do like to eat fast food( something with grilled chicken) or occasionally eat nothing but avocado all day. The truth is sometimes I don't watch what I eat but it affects me so I need to at least be careful of what I put in my body if I'm not going to eat healthy. I thank you for taking this time to read my blog and giving it to your friends and family it means the world to me that you pass this blog on I'll keep pushing out the hits okay have a great day you guys.
