SAME Cafe Review

Today I was invited by a friend to eat at a place called SAME Cafe, A participant based restaurant where everyone contributes time, money or produce in exchange for a meal. The food options are delicious they have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available. When we ate there they made my friend a pizza even though it wasn't on the menu, then we both had a  succulent grilled cheese with pesto, creamy met in your mouth butternut squash curry soup paired with a cortisol lowering quinoa and beet salad and for lovers  dessert a decedent lemon cookie. The picture is posted down below I couldn't take without taking a bite it was so good I took my soup to go, I didn't waste a single bite I promise you won't either. SAME Café opened its doors in 2006 as the first nonprofit restaurant in Denver, and has continued strong for over 16 years, with their values being: Whole people• Belonging• Phenomenal Food • Participation• Service Leadership how can you say no this place. SAME Cafe has no set prices and no set menus. Daily selections are made using fresh, organic ingredients and are funded by donations of time, produce, and money from guests and supporters. Off of East Colfax Ave in Denver in a tight spot near high street, people boast about SAME Cafe with comments like: “SAME cafe is an amazing place filled with incredibly caring and kind people. Denver would not be the “same” without it.” -Haelie or “SAME cafe has inspired me to return to cooking. I have 15+ years in the industry but was burned out after all that time. I started volunteering and working in the SAME kitchen.” -Mark. So don't just take my word for it they are a beautiful place to sit and eat both inside and outside and SAME Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 2:30 pm stop on in and say "iris sent me" they know just who I am and once again thank you SAME Cafe for treating this girl like a person.
